The School
of Education and Human Services seeks an empowering, academic leader to serve
as Dean. The Dean is the chief executive officer, reports to senior management
and provides leadership among various constituencies. The School provides a
variety of programs in education, human resources development and counseling
through its 6 departments (Counseling, Educational Leadership, Human
Development and Child Studies, Human Resource Development, Reading and Language
Arts, and Teacher Development and Educational Studies) and numerous program
based centers. The School is recognized
for its successful recruiting of diverse faculty, international educational
exchange programs and its strong partnerships with local school districts and
community agencies. Applicants for this
position must hold an earned doctorate and academic credentials appropriate for
appointment at the rank of tenured full professor. Applicants must have a minimum of three years
of experience in academic administration/leadership, a record of scholarly
productivity, strong communications skills, and be capable of articulating a
