The Secondary Certification/Technology Department is seeking one full time faculty individual who is committed to diversity, values learning and social justice and would like to join a growing higher education community.  The department invites applicants for a full-time, non- tenure-track assistant/associate professor for Secondary Certification.  Successful candidates will have a doctorate in teacher education/curriculum and instruction or a closely related field; the ability to pursue a research agenda in teacher education; experience teaching in grades 6-12 (3 years minimum); and the ability to integrate technology into teaching. Preference will be given to individuals with background in middle/secondary math and/or science.  Responsibilities include undergraduate and graduate teaching, student advisement, and service to the department, college, University, profession, and the community.

 

Required qualifications include (1) a doctorate in education or related field; (2)a valid 6-12 teaching certificate and previous 6-12 teaching experience; (3) demonstrated potential for teaching excellence in higher education (4) strength in developing and working in a collaborative learning community with students and colleagues.
