Presbyterian College invites applications for a tenure-track position in Secondary Education to begin the fall of 2010. Duties include teaching general methods courses for secondary teachers; education foundation courses; geography courses; supervision of field and student teaching experiences; advising students; collaborating with public schools; and providing service to the college and community. Preference will be given to applicants who have expertise in secondary social studies, experience working with diverse student populations, and familiarity with NCATE and NCSS Standards. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years teaching experience in public schools at the secondary level. A doctorate in Social Studies or Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Social Studies is preferred. ABD will be considered.
