Department: The Department of Health Education, Physical
Education, Recreation and Athletics (HPERA) at
Required Qualifications: Earned doctorate from an
accredited institution in K-12 Physical Education Pedagogy. P-12 teaching in PE. Use of technology to enhance teaching,
assessment, and research is also required.
Recommended Qualifications: Experience in diverse settings, university
teaching, advisement, and scholarly publication. Knowledge of NCATE/NASPE standards is highly
desired. Professional certifications and community involvement will be
considered by the search committee.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities will include teaching
courses in physical education pedagogy, supervision of clinical students and student
teachers, and other assigned courses as required by the department. Other responsibilities include student
advisement, research and service.
